Jaguar XF Prototypes: The Ones That Never Made It

Many might think that the process for developing a car design is pretty straightforward; meaning you present a concept then you transform it into a production car having in mind that it'll be used in real life, by real people. Truth is however, a production car’s final design is a much more complicated process even before we ever see a concept. And in the case of the all-new 2008 XF, there were plenty of proposals from Jag’s design team headed by Ian Callum. As you can see in the sketches and pictures that Autocar obtained after the jump, many of those proposals were quite conservative. Heck, some prototypes look more like an evolution of the current S-Type than a brand new car. -Check out all the images after the jump
