eBay Find: Original 1968 Shelby GT500KR

This authentic 1968 Shelby GT500KR has been put up for sale on eBay with a “buy it now price” of $165,000 – approx €105,000. We don’t know if this adds to the Shelby’s value but its owner for the past 19 years is the Canadian-born Hollywood actor, Michael Ironside who appeared in movies like Top Gun, Free Willy and Total Recall.

The ’68 Shelby GT500KR is powered by a 428 Cobra Jet V8 motor (7.0-liter), that was officially rated at 335 Hp but in reality made somewhere close to 400 Hp. A total of JUST 1,053 ’68 GT500KRS were produced making it a pretty sought after Mustang. Click through for more images.
